NAGOYA, Japan — The organizing committee of the 2026 Asian Games, to be held in the central Japanese prefecture of Aichi, plans to accommodate about 3,000 people in a docked cruise ship during the event, Gov. Hideaki Omura said Wednesday.
Omura, who also serves as president of the organizing committee, said it looks to use around 50 hotels as housing for competitors — 10 in the prefectural capital of Nagoya, 30 elsewhere in Aichi and 10 outside the prefecture. The locations will be chosen based on distance from the competition venues and access to transportation.
