SINGAPORE — Singapore-based commodity firms as well as energy companies from Thailand and Indonesia were among Southeast Asia’s largest companies by revenue, according to a first regional edition of the Fortune 500 List, released on Tuesday.
Fortune, which publishes an annual list of the 500 largest U.S. companies by revenue as well as global, European and Chinese editions, said the inaugural Southeast Asia 500 ranking comes on the back of the region’s rapid economic growth and its “far greater significance” in the global economy amid a supply chain shift.
